Marquez: No Problem Little Hunted Rossi
Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez claimed did not panic when it finished fourth at the San Marino MotoGP last weekend, a result which leaves Movistar Yamaha MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi cut lag seven points. It is delivered to GPone Marquez.
Rossi, who finished second behind Dani Pedrosa, is now in second place in the rider standings with 180 points, behind 43 points from Marquez at the top. With five series left this season, mathematically The Doctor still has a chance to win the world title this season.
"Before the race at Misano, I think it will lose more points, the fact that I only lost seven, and this is important. In this championship, consistency is the key. We will certainly have the opportunity to insist again, but this time it is a matter of controlling the race," Marquez said.
"Finis behind Vale normal. At Silverstone, I have the opportunity to finish ahead of Vale and Jorge, but I made a mistake, while here I was slower. As long as I only lost 3-7 points, then no problem. We still has 43 points to defend, "he concluded.
Marquez will return to the cage against Rossi in the series, namely MotoGP Aragon, Spain held at Motorland Aragon on 23-25 September.
