A fifth of New Cars in Indonesia is Honda
Until June 2016, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has a market share of 20.6 percent of the total automotive market in Indonesia, with sales of 109 662 cars.
In other words, a fifth of new cars circulating in Indonesia for the period is Honda.
Honda's market share in the first half of 2016 increased compared to the end of 2015, which stood at 15 percent.
In June 2016, Honda collect sales of 19 472 units, an increase of 11.7 percent compared to the previous month's sales are recorded as many as 17 427 units.
Honda also achieved the position of market leader through some of its products in various segments, namely Honda BR-V which is at Low SUV segment, Honda Brio in City Car segment, the Honda Jazz in the hatchback segment and the Honda CR-Z in the Sport segment.
Honda BR-V which is at Low SUV segment was the biggest contributor to Honda's sales with total sales from January to June 2016 amounted to 29 347 units. In total 42 per cent and become the market leader in LSUV.
"Although market conditions still likely to stagnate until the middle of this year, Honda actually can achieve sales growth and increased its market share significantly," says Marketing & After Sales Service Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Jonfis Fandy.
