PT Penta Jaya Laju Motor (KTM Indonesia) announced a price reduction of up to several tens of millions of KTM models sold in Indonesia. The new prices were announced in Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) ICE 2016 in BSD City, Tangerang, on Monday (15/8).
KTM gives KTM RC 250 special price of USD 48 million, Duke 250 Rp 44 million, while the KTM RC 200 Rp 37 million and Rp 33 million to 200 Duke on the road Jakarta.
KTM hopes all the benefits with this price reduction will be directly felt by both dealers and consumers KTM Indonesia.
"Our great hope, KTM will be more affordable, and more and more Indonesian people can enjoy sport bike Europe," said Kristianto Goenadi, President Director of PT Penta Jaya Laju Motor (KTM Indonesia).
KTM also announced that in the near future KTM will produce in the form of CKD for the Indonesian market. Strategic move completely knocked down (CKD) and direct supply makes prices more competitive KTM and have the effect of a decrease of 25 percent.
Policy KTM CKD sales prices and is closely linked to the new strategy of cooperation between the Austrian KTM and Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL), which has become a strategic partner since 2008. With the same strategy, BAL bring up product line generated KTM and BAL to Indonesia ,In Indonesia, PT Penta Jaya Laju Motor into this joint venture product distributor through its dealer network to consumers in Indonesia.
"For the early stages of these products will be distributed in our dealer network in Jakarta and Bandung, and onward to other cities in Indonesia," added Kristianto.
