Mazda Not Want Fared As Ford




Ford Indonesia's departure leaves no doubt consumers to the brand that still rely on imports. The existence of the factory became a barometer that automakers gain strong confidence of consumers.

Similarly, Ford Indonesia, PT Mazda Motor Indonesia is still importing products from Japan and Thailand. However, MMI ensure that their presence in Indonesia remains solid.


MMI confidence was based on sales that have increased amid the market downturn. Senior Marketing Manager of PT Mazda Motor Indonesia Astrid Ariani Wijana said that the company currently has a customer base that is very good.


"I can not comment on it (Ford Indonesia). I can only give you the facts, Mazda's sales in 2014 compared to 2015 increased 2 percent amid the industry downturn of 13.7 percent," he said.


Astrid added that in terms of share of vehicle segments, three of its flagship car Mazda2, CX-5 and Biante in 2015 go up compared to 2014. This can be achieved due to consumer acceptance is seen MMI very nice.


"Essentially Mazda fine. Of the three models good growth. For example Biante, which reached 33 percent market share. Even for Asean, Indonesia's sales in the third position for Mazda, if I'm not mistaken," he said.
